Applies to

Everyone using our hosting, network, email, VoIP or cloud services.

1. Purpose

This policy protects our customers, our network and third parties. It applies to you, your staff, your contractors and anyone using a service supplied by us, whether or not they are authorised by you.

2. Prohibited content

  • Material that is unlawful in Australia, including child abuse material and content that incites violence.
  • Material that infringes copyright, trade marks or other intellectual property rights.
  • Malware, exploit kits, phishing pages and credential-harvesting sites.
  • Content that impersonates a person, business or government agency to deceive.

3. Prohibited conduct

  • Unsolicited bulk email, list scraping, or sending to purchased lists. Marketing email must comply with the Spam Act 2003 (Cth) and include working unsubscribe handling.
  • Port scanning, vulnerability scanning, penetration testing or load testing of systems you do not own, or of our platform, without prior written authorisation.
  • Attempting to access another customer's data, or circumvent authentication, quota or isolation controls.
  • Denial-of-service activity, traffic amplification, or reflection attacks originating from our network.
  • Operating open mail relays, open proxies, open DNS resolvers or unauthenticated SMTP services.
  • Toll fraud, artificial traffic inflation, calling line identification spoofing, or automated dialling that breaches the Do Not Call Register Act 2006 (Cth).
  • Cryptocurrency mining on shared hosting or shared compute plans.

4. Resource use

Shared services are subject to fair-use limits recorded on your plan. Where sustained usage degrades the experience of other customers, we will contact you to arrange a suitable plan before taking any restrictive action, except where the impact is severe and immediate.

5. Security obligations

  • Keep credentials confidential and enable multi-factor authentication where it is available.
  • Patch software you control, including content management systems, plugins and application dependencies.
  • Report suspected compromise of your service to us as soon as you become aware of it.

6. Reporting abuse

Report suspected abuse of a service on our network to [email protected] with the subject line "Abuse report", including timestamps in AEST, IP addresses and any relevant headers or logs. We acknowledge abuse reports within one business day and act on confirmed active harm immediately.

7. Enforcement

Depending on severity we may request remediation, filter traffic, suspend the affected service, or terminate the Service Order. Where lawful and practical we will notify you before acting, and we will always tell you what was done and why. We cooperate with lawful requests from Australian law enforcement.
